While generating e-invoice and e-way bill, the portal provides the option to select the dispatch location (principal or any additional place registered under the same GSTIN). "Dispatch From" should indicate the address (principal or additional) from which goods are leaving. The choice of place appears in the portal, ensuring compliance and clarity of the source location for GST and logistics.

The transaction falls under the "Bill to – Ship to" model, as described under Section 10(1)(b) of the IGST Act. Here, the Karnataka business (you) is the 'buyer', goods are dispatched from Andhra Pradesh, and the recipient is in Madhya Pradesh.
The invoices must be raised from the Karnataka GST number, and IGST (Integrated GST) should be charged, as it is an interstate transaction.

Obtain invoice from Andhra Pradesh farmer in the name of your Karnataka business (with Karnataka GSTIN).
Raise onward sale invoice from Karnataka GSTIN to Madhya Pradesh customer.
Correctly generate and fill e-way bills as per the Bill to–Ship to rules above.
Maintain all supporting documentation, like transporter details and proof of direct delivery, for tax audit purposes.
This workflow is widely recognized as compliant under GST for interstate commerce involving three states, so long as all documentation and reporting are accurate and complete.

The unregistered farmer in Andhra Pradesh cannot issue a GST invoice. In such cases, the recipient (Karnataka dealer) must self-generate necessary purchase documentation, using the farmer’s name and address, marking the supplier as "URP" (Unregistered Person). The Karnataka-registered dealer must generate the e-way bill before the interstate movement begins from Andhra Pradesh to Madhya Pradesh, since the goods never enter Karnataka. The “bill to” will be the Karnataka business, “dispatch from” will be the farmer’s location in Andhra, and “ship to” will be the customer in Madhya Pradesh.
Invoice Details: The invoice will be issued by the Karnataka dealer to the customer in Madhya Pradesh. The invoice should mention "place of supply" as Madhya Pradesh and "dispatch from" as Andhra Pradesh. This is a standard “bill to-ship to” or “third-party sale” transaction under GST rules.
