27 August 2009 what are the prospects after doing the ACCA in india. I know its not recognized by the icai in India, which im guessing means that acca members cant audit in india. But for those who are not necessarily looking to become auditors, is it a good option?

I basically want a CA qualification and i want to join an MNC.

Your's a very good query.

You are right ACCA Members cannot audit in India and only CAs from ICAI can audit.

You can join an MNC and also look out for jobs abroad with the ACCA qualification.

ACCA is a very good qualification and industry recognises the same very much.

You may go ahead and pursue this qualification.

27 August 2009 What about job prospects in India? Is it worth putting in the time and effort?
I am inclined towards ACCA because I am getting exemptions from 7 out of the 14 ACCA papers.
