11 March 2015 Hi Experts,

I am planning to be an authorized Distributor and Marketer for all states in India for a product which is getting manufactured in Karnataka and I reside in Hyderabad, Telangana State.

So, manufacturer sends product to Hyderabad and from there I want to sell to retailers in different states of India. Do I need to get registered in every state and get CST and VAT?

Manufacturer including CST in the invoice. I came to know that I have to add VAT which is 14.5%. Now, I want to know is, whether VAT to be calculated on MRP or on my selling price to retailer? MRP is 76 INR.

Please do guide me with the information required.

11 March 2015 you need to register under both cst and vat in hyderabad only..

from there u can sell the product all over india

11 March 2015 also u need not to charge the price on mrp.. its on the price which u wil charge from retailers...

remember the overall price cant b more than mrp

11 March 2015 In connection with my query, one issue is, I want to select an existing distributor in particular district and that distributor will supply product to the retailers. For example, if the mrp is 76 and if I give it to district-wise distributor for 60 and retailer gets it for 70 from the district-wise distributor, then for which amount I have to pay tax, for 60 or for 70?
