About income rax return

02 October 2016 hello experts, one of my friend not filed income tax return for the assessment year 2014-15. But he has TDS 13000 for that year. he want to file return now. can he file return now? can he file return u/s 142(1)? can he get TDS refund? or give me a suggestion.

03 October 2016 File condonation application with Commissioner of Income tax of your jurisdiction and file manual return with your AO enclosing the condonation application. Refer CBDT circular 9/2016 Dt. 09/06/2016.

03 October 2016 No, if he file it will be sent to AO, AO will reject it as defective return.
