09 September 2016 hii frnds can any1 guide me what should I do in present situation??? I am CA in job have applied for COP + membership on 16 August 2016 ( with DD of rs4000 in favour of Icai Kanpur)_and before Icai would receive my form2 I have called and mail them not to issue COP and consent is given to me by concerned authority in Icai Kanpur. They said 2000rs will be adjusted for current year COP and will taken as advance for next year.But by mistake they have now send me both COP and membership certificate and not willing to accept their mistake. pz guide me for the above..,.. Thanks in advance

10 September 2016 Please visit your Decentralized Office in Kanpur and take up your issue personally with the concerned officials, as the details have to be changed in the database as well.

10 September 2016 sir I am working in Nagpur, so I won't b able to visit Nagpur. so can u pz suggest me any other options.

03 August 2025 Hey! Since you can’t visit Kanpur in person, here are some alternatives you can try:
Write a formal email or letter addressed to the ICAI Kanpur office explaining the situation clearly—mention the date you requested to cancel the COP and that you received it by mistake. Request correction in their records and adjustment of fees as discussed.
Follow up with a phone call to the Kanpur office after sending the email to make sure they received it and ask for the next steps.
Use ICAI’s online grievance redressal portal (if available) to lodge a complaint formally.
If needed, send the email or letter via registered post for a written proof of your communication.
