Wrong payment of tds

In previous quarter, we have to wrong payment of TDS u/s 194I amounting Rs. 2387. Is there any procedure to claim refund for such amount?

10 May 2012 You can adjust it in the next quarter. However, if this happened during the last quarter, then the only option is to recover from the landlord.

10 May 2012 We have no use of any rented property, this amount has been paid by mistake at the time of payment of other TDS amounts. Is there any chance to recover such amount.

10 May 2012 Just give credit it some one else. then ask him to file his return. when he gets refund of the TDS then you can easily get your money back. though this is not allowed as per act. it justifiable to get it back in that manner.

Another way is to get contact your range officer and get TDS audit Done to get your amount back
