Hi
Can anyone tell me if ward and cirlce on the return is wrong, do we need to file revised return. I have refund of around 20K. Will there be any prob is ward and circle is wrong on return or shall I e-file my return as revised before 31st July 2009.

Better to file revise return as we cant rely on IT deprt. kabhi bhi prob kar sakte he :)

Is it better to wait for 6 months and if no refund than to file revised return because i can file revised return within 1 year from the end of the Asst. year. of the return.

Hey! On the wrong ward and circle mentioned in ITR-4, here’s the deal:
Is it mandatory to file a revised return just because of wrong ward/circle?
Not strictly mandatory. The Income Tax Department usually processes the return based on PAN and other details, so sometimes a wrong ward/circle may not cause a problem.
But what about your refund?
Refund can get delayed or stuck if the department routes it incorrectly due to wrong ward/circle details.
What’s safer?
Filing a revised return to correct the ward and circle is a safer option — especially since you have a refund pending (₹20,000). It helps avoid any delays or complications.
When can you file the revised return?
You can file the revised return within one year from the end of the relevant Assessment Year or before the completion of assessment, whichever is earlier.
Should you wait 6 months?
You can wait, but it might delay your refund if the department struggles to process your original return properly. If you want the refund without hassle, better to file a revised return ASAP.
