Dear sir, I want to know whethere there is any service tax on services rendered in carrying out work such as Electrical, Mechanical, House keeping, Civil work, Painting, wooden work under a work order before inclusion of work contract service ie-June 2007 and if yes under which service head the liability of service tax will arise.plz clarify

Before works cotract services, above Service which were related to commercial and industrial construction services , construction of residentaial complex, erection /commissioning or installation service was taxable under service tax.
