I work as a Ac mechanic providing service to different government department.I have service tax registration number though my total turnover is less than 10lac,but i am charging service tax on bill amount.so whether i have to pay service tax or not??plz tell

12 December 2015 Your turnover is less than 10 lacs exempted from service tax. If you are charging service tax then you have to remit the amount to Govt.

12 December 2015 I start charging service tax on my bill an amount of Rs 14.50 from 1st dec 2015. Is it the right amount to charge on the bill.

I donot have Tin no, and so cannot mention in my bill in which I used to charge Service Tax.So will it create any problem???

12 December 2015 Charging 14.5% on labour portion of the bill is okay. You have to remit the service tax to Govt.
You have to mention service tax registration No. in the bill.

one thing more i used to make the bill including the amount of spares an compressor an labour charges.
So may i have to charge ST 14.5 only on labour,excluding spares parts.
