17 September 2014 UNDER REVERSE CHARGE SERVICE RECIVER IS LIABLE TO PAY SERVICE TAX...NOW WHAT DOES IT MEAN...WHETHER IT MEANS HE WILL PAY ST FROM HIS POCKET AND DEPOSIT ST TO GOVT......... BUT ST IS INDIRECT TAX AND SERVICE RECIVER IS REQUIRED TO PAY ST IN ALL CASES...PLZ HELP

17 September 2014 Yes. Service receivers need to pay from their own pocked and deposit the same under respective code for respective service category. For all details check out below link--

17 September 2014 In any case Service Provider is not paying.

In direct method Service Provider is charging service tax in bill, collection the service tax from service receiver and paying to Govt. Under reverse charge service receiver paying service tax directly to Govt.
