What if co.op housing society falls

12 June 2014 Dear Experts,

Suppose, there is a co-op society incorporated 5 years back, having 5 floors, and unfortunately the building falls due to earthquake or some other reason.

In that case what the members can do ?

Where they will stay ?

If your answer is they should build the building again... Then suppose what if the person residing one ground floor does not have money for construction ?

(This is general query)

13 June 2014 it is a matter of internal agreement between the members. plus, who owns the land, if land is being owned by society, then every member including the one with ground floor has equal rights in what is constructed on the land.
