when there is a delay in payment of Wages say in terms of 4 months or even 8 months.

As per CARO Clause, delay in stuatory dues should be reported under certain specific laws. The specific laws include P.F,income-tax,service tax,excise duty, investor proteciton fund,sales tax ex-cetra. Hence the delay in wages should not be covered under statutory dues.Hence there is no obliganation on the part of auditor to make qualification in audit report.
