I have appeared in CA final nov 11 attempt. and scored 32 marks in ISCA

but in certified copy i have been alloted only 26 marks

I have come to know that institute has the right to increase or decrease the marks of all candidates

in order to regulate the passing percentage of student.

I have also found that some other students also have difference of such 6 marks in their answer sheet too.

Moreover one more discrepancy in my booklet is that one question is marked but marks of which are not added in the total (12 marks are been alloted in that question)

I m really confused now that in verification whether my total will be 26+12=38 i.e fail or 26+6+12=44 i.e pass

If any one has some information regarding this , please share the same as due to all this i m not been able to concentrate on next attempt.

The process of verification of marks covers the following:

Checking:

 Whether the answer book(s) compilation is complete

 Whether any question or part thereof has remained unvalued

 Whether there is any totaling error in any question or total marks on the cover page

 Whether there is any discrepancy between the marks for each question and or/part thereof and marks for each question indicated on the cover page of the answer book

 Whether the handwriting of the candidate in all the answer books is the same.

However, revaluation of the answer book is not permitted under the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.

The verification exercise may result in
 No change of marks
 Increase of marks, impacting result or exemption in one or more papers
 Decrease of marks
The outcome of the verification exercise is hosted on our website www.icai.org and a
written communication is also sent to the candidate concerned, at the address
mentioned by him/her in his/her application. In case of revision of marks, a revised mark statement/result ( as the case may be) is also communicated to the candidate.

but my real concern is about the 6 marks extra which institute has earlier given, will it b added this time while verifying it or not?
