23 June 2011 Respected Experts :We are dealing in the business of sale and purchase of gold and diamond jewellery. Now we have also added the one more good i.e reasale of readymade clothes undersame TIN but the location of the business is different.Now How should we treat the VAT of the both. Should we file single Returne of both or separate. Please guide me.

You can file a common return for different kind of goods dealt by you. If ready made clothes are sold at another place you have to declare it as a branch to the VAT office and get the RC amended. In the return the taxable turnover is to be split into those applicable with different rates of tax,as required in the forms.
