my first question is whether VAT is levied on octroi?
and my other qustion is if octroi no shown on invoice but octroi paid at post, and debit note is raised for octroi recoveries from customer, will this recovery be vatable??

If octroi included in bill (rate of material) then VAT is payable on octroi, if mentioned seprately then VAT if not payable on octroi.
