we Purchase Raw Material for R&D Purpose. Pls advice we have claim set-off input vat from output vat

30 July 2013 First of all you have not mentioned the STATE the query relates to.

Generally, Raw material for consumption purpose is not eligibel for set off. If any capital goods, equipments are purchased for R&D purpose and if they are used for production purpose, they are eligible. We have to check up your State VAT Act before replying to your query.
