Pls tell me how we enter vat entry in manual book and also in tally.

please open two accounts in duty & tax named as input vat & output vat means the vat we get from our debtors is input vat & the vat we pay to our creditors is output vat & make the entry in sale is
debtors A/c
-----------To sale A/c
-----------To Input Vat A/c
& make entry for purchase is
Pucchase A/c
output vat A/c
-------------To Creditors A/c
& the Diff. is payable or refundable to deptt. in our books
