04 June 2009 Dear Sirs,

Kindly confirm in case of sending shippment from Delhi to Kota or Jodhpur, whether the Vat Form 47 (road permit) is required?

Also whether it is required only when the shipment is going through Surface transport or it is required through by AIR too?

kindly confirm ASAP.

10 June 2009 Yes, Form VAT -47 required if material value Rs. 10k and above. this is entry form in Rajasthan irrespective mode of transport.

10 June 2009 Thanks...but i think there is no condition of value which you had mentioned Rs.10k & above...Can you pls. get the same checked once again & confirm. Also, if can arrange the notification on this from Raj govt..

10 June 2009 Also, what about the non registered customers...how they would be able to provide the same since they are not registered with sales tax.....for Example : doctors are not registered with sales tax..but whenever they do eye surgeries, they required lenses, etc...in this case, how they can be catered without providing Form 47.

16 January 2014 There is no condition of 10k.
In case of Interstate dealings, registration is mandatory by law.
