what is the exmpted sale under the vat act of india

VAT is state Govt. Tax so it is vary state to state, uniformly there is no prescibed schedule of comodities which is applicable as exemted sale for all states. Export out of India and Highseas sale are exempted sale as per my knowledge in all states using VAT system. Otherwise every state have its own Schedule of Comoditis for exempted sale in VAT.
