Urgent applicabality of gst

23 July 2018 Hello sir,
i am working in accounts department of private recognised university in gujarat. we are recognised by the gujarat government gazette.we are private recognised university. Is GST applicable to us on fees received?
Please guide me on the same.

23 July 2018 sir, thanks for the guidance. as per the act Education services means services by way of:-

1) pre-school education and education up to higher secondary school or equivalent;
2) education as a part of a curriculum for obtaining a qualification recognised by any law for the time being in force; or
3) education as a part of an approved vocational education course.”
shall we get exemption under this clause 2? we are "private" recognized university providing courses above higher secondary education like bsc.biotech , msc ,phd bcom etc..
