22 August 2015 Dear Sir,
In case of proprietorship firm PAN no is in the name of proprietor. Whether He can get service tax registration in the name of firm ie. M/s Ganesh Enterprises

Once I tried in the name of firm but local office denied and said apply in the name of proprietor which is printed on pan card.

Hoping a valuable advice from your side.

23 August 2015 You may use the name in follwing manner , Ganesh Enterprises (Prop. ABC). according to me there is no problem if u used prop company name. Only in form st 1 in column of pan verfication should be the name of pan card holder

24 August 2015 Department person said only name printed on PAN card is allowed and if you wish registration in firm name then produce pan card in firm name?
