two different business in gst

28 July 2017 Please clarify: A businessman having 2 businesses in same premise, or as the case may be in different premises. One business relates to slot booking of advertisement Since, other than service provider but restaurants cannot opt for GST He has to opt for regular scheme Other business is of confectionary store Since, there are too many items, & also his annual turnover including advertisement booking may not cross the threshold limit for composition scheme 1 can he opt for composition scheme in confectionary store 2 can he go for other gst registration of firm in his own name 3 if he crosses the threshold limit of 75 lacs in mid of year, what will be the scenario 4 can he operates both the businesses in same premises Thanks in advance

28 July 2017 1. he can operate both the business in same premises provided the premises owner has no objection.
2. for sole proprietor, although he runs business in 2 separate names, for GST, registration is one.
3. since there is one GST number, partial composition is not allowed.
