if 2 charitable trust is to merged. what are the formalities?

Close one charitable trust and donate all the assets to other trust having same objects.

but if objects are not same i is for charitable medical activity and 1 is for old age home

Without common object the merger will not be tax-exempt.

Make application for change of object in one of the trust and then close the trust by transfering asset to another trust.
