Hey, I totally get where you're coming from — it’s super tough when you feel like you’re not strong in a foundational subject like accounts, especially when you’re passionate about becoming a CA but feel your base isn’t solid. But it’s great you want to keep pushing through!
Here’s how I’d suggest you approach this to build confidence and interest step-by-step:
### 1. **Start from the basics — slow and steady**
* Go back to the very basics of accounting. You can use simple beginner-friendly books or even YouTube channels that explain accounting concepts in very simple language. * Try to understand *why* accounting is done, not just the rules or entries. For example, why do we record transactions? What is the logic behind debit and credit?
### 2. **Use practical examples**
* Practice with real-life examples — like managing a small shop’s accounts or tracking expenses for something you like. This will make abstract concepts more concrete. * Even try apps or software (like Tally or simple spreadsheets) to see accounting in action.
### 3. **Focus on the subjects you love**
* Since you like Tax, Audit, and Law, make sure you spend extra time on those. Often, liking a subject motivates you to study harder. * Use your interest in tech — maybe find tools or videos that explain these subjects with practical examples or visuals.
### 4. **Combine IT skills with CA studies**
* Your passion and expertise in IT and computer security is a huge asset. Today, CAs with IT skills are highly sought after. * Explore courses or certifications in areas like GST software, data analytics, or cyber security for finance. This could give you an edge.
### 5. **Take help — mentors, peers, or coaching**
* Don’t hesitate to ask seniors, friends, or teachers for help with basics. * Sometimes just one good explanation can make things click.
### 6. **Stay consistent and patient**
* Building fundamentals takes time, but regular practice (even 30 minutes daily) will improve your grip. * Celebrate small wins to stay motivated.
---
**Remember:** Many successful CAs started weak in accounts but made it through consistent effort and by using their strengths (like your tech skills).
Would you like me to help you with some very simple accounting notes or videos to start from scratch? Or maybe a study plan that blends your tech interest with CA topics? I’m here to help!
