09 January 2015 Please tell me whather TDS shall be deducted on 2 Immovable Properties purchased from same builders Both property individually having Value below Rs. 50 lacs????

For eg: if I Purchase 2 Flats from a Builder both Having Value of Rs. 30 Lacs each thus making Total Consideration of Rs. 60 Lacs to the Builder. Sale agrrement is made for purchase of each Flat individually for Value of 30 Lacs Each. Then whether I am Liable to Deduct TDS u/s 194 IA or Not.

09 January 2015 In my opinion section 194IA will not be applicable in this case since purchase consideration for none of the property exceeds Rs. 50 lakh and separate registries have been made.

09 January 2015 When seperate agreement and seperate registraion is made then the value is below the threshold limit of 50 lakhs so no tds is applicable.
