28 July 2025 Great question! Here’s how it works:

**Form 24Q** is strictly meant for reporting **TDS on Salary** only. It contains details of salary paid and TDS deducted under Section 192.

---

### Do you need to show **TDS Asset on Other Income** (like House Property) in Form 24Q?

**No, you do not show TDS deducted on other income heads (like House Property, Other Income) in Form 24Q.**

* Form 24Q is limited to salary income and TDS deducted on salary.
* Any TDS related to **other income** (like rent under Section 194-I, interest under 194A, etc.) should be reported separately in **Form 26Q** (for non-salary payments).

---

### What if employee’s salary TDS was calculated considering TDS already deducted on other income?

* You can factor in the **TDS credit** available from other sources while computing the salary TDS (to avoid excess deduction).
* However, the **Form 24Q** will only show the salary income and TDS deducted on salary.
* The other income TDS will be reflected in **Form 26Q** filed by the deductor of that income.
* The employee can claim the benefit of all TDS while filing his **Income Tax Return (ITR)**.

---

### Summary:

| Aspect | Form 24Q (Salary TDS Return) |
| ----------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Report Salary Income & TDS | ✅ Only salary income & TDS deducted |
| Report TDS on Other Income | ❌ No, reported separately in Form 26Q |
| Use of TDS credit for TDS on salary | Allowed while computing TDS |

---

**So, you do not need to show TDS Asset on other income in Salary TDS Return (Form 24Q).**

If you want, I can guide you on how to factor TDS credit while calculating TDS on salary to avoid excess deduction. Would you like that?
