Tds return rejection by nsdl

17 December 2011 i have submitted etds return of 26q for Q-2. now nsdl website show status as rejected by tin with error file which indicate error description "regular statement with same periodicity(combination of form, TAN, FY and Quarter) cannot be uploaded more than once"

then now how to i rectify the same...

17 December 2011 If you want to rectify TDS return than there is a utility only for mentioning the particulars where change is warranted.

You need not upload whole return again. Only those particulars which require alterations will be corrected and output file of those correction only will be generated and will be uploaded.

17 December 2011 1st of all the error states that you had filed the Form 26 for Q2 earlier therefore this one is not accepted. Regular return can not be submitted twice.

As suggested by expert herein above,in case you were submitting the correction return then prepare the correction return by downloading consolidated fvu and making necessary correction to the return.
