Tds return - correction

24 February 2015 Dear Sir/ Madam,

We received notice for short deduction of TDS. But this short deduction was due to certificate u/s 197.
I mentioned 10 digit Certificate No. while filing TDS Return but forgot to select flag "A" in "reason for short deduction"

Now if I download Consolidated file for correction, then TDS RPU software is not allowing me to select flag "A", because challan status is 'MATCHED'

My question is- Now how can I rectify my mistake with or without filing Correction Statement??? , or do I have to pay that amount which is shown as Short Deduction in TDS Notice...

24 February 2015 you can try to delete the relevant entire row in deductee sheet and add new row with the correct details and match challan and upload

25 February 2015 TDS RPU software is not allowing me to even delete those Rows.

Please suggest what to do.
