25 April 2009 Sir,

Pls tell me do we have to file TDS return monthly instead of Quarterly in the financial year 2009-10.

If monthy pls tell me date of filing for every month and date of annual return

25 April 2009 Pl refer CBDT notification 31 of 2009 dt 25th March 2009 in www.incometaxindia.gov.in. You will get the answer.

25 April 2009 It is now annual return. The quarterly TDS statements are to be prepared and filed annually before 30th June following the financial year. To put it differently, It is annual return of Quarterly TDS statements.

How ever, you need to file a certificate called "Quarterly TDS/TCS compliance statement(Form No. 24C)". Though it is called a quarterly TDS .... statement, factually, it is an abstract of the quarterly accounts.

You need to file quarterly ... Compliance statement, as well as annual statement.

Rightly said, TDS is in fact tedious.
