you can only claim Refund of your TDS by only filing income tax return.

Got it — since you’ve already filed your income tax return after the due date, you can’t revise that return (because late filed returns can’t be revised).

### So, how to claim refund of increased TDS now?
**Option 1: File a Revised Return for the Relevant Assessment Year**
* Usually, the Income Tax Act allows filing a revised return within the relevant assessment year (before the completion of assessment), even after the due date for original filing has passed. * If the assessment is not completed yet, you may still file a revised return to claim additional refund.
**Option 2: File a Rectification Application (Section 154)**
* If revised return is not allowed (assessment completed or timeline passed), you can file a **Rectification application under Section 154** to correct the mistake or claim refund of excess TDS.
**Option 3: Approach the Assessing Officer**
* Write a letter or application to your Assessing Officer (AO) explaining the situation and request refund of the additional TDS claimed now.
---
### Important:
* If you have not received refund of TDS claimed in original return, you should still be able to claim the additional TDS amount via revised return or rectification, depending on status of your assessment.
* Keep all TDS certificates and bank statements handy for proof.

If you want, I can help draft a rectification application or guide you step-by-step. Would you like that?
