TDS provisions applicable in case of composite contract.

14 December 2010 Can any one help me on, that on what amount tds will be deducted in case of contract given for some work and in particular contract material is supplied by contractee by purchasing from some third party ?
Pls help me out in case contract is for A.Y. 2008-09.

14 December 2010 As per definition of work under Sec.194C, if the work done by the contractor as per specfication by contractee by the material purchased from the contractee

So in your Case TDS will apply, as per sec.194C

This definition inserted in Oct-2009. so before that all the contracts whether material supplied by the contractee and other will cover u/s.194C
