why we are not deducting the TDS On transportation ? is there any particular rule.

If we need to be deduct the TDS, What is the cut off and TDS Percentage please.

14 May 2014 Plz note that TDS is deducted on Transporters @20% if PAN is not quoted by them. In ur case The transporters must have quoted the PAN thats y TD is not deducted on them.

14 May 2014 from 1.10.2009 you have not required to deduct the tds u/s 194C if he have PAN
otherwise you have to deduct TDs @ 20%
