05 November 2009 We are paying Rent on which service tax has been added , whether we need to deduct TDS on Gross amount of rent inclusive of Service Tax or net amount of Rent exclusive of Service tax ?

For payment of Rent TDs would be deducted only on Rent amount and not including service tax.

05 November 2009 Agree with Sanjay. Circular clearly mention TDS only on the rental amount exclusive of service tax
