tds on manufacturer's debits by dealer

27 November 2010 My dealer is doing business in Motor vehicles. In Manufacturing Company Statements, he found the some debits towards advertisement and gifts to customers. Is TDS u/s 194C applicable to my dealer

27 November 2010 TDS applicable for actual nature of service expenses, in your case my assumption is manufacturing company done some advertisement expenses and debit the same for reimbursement. in this case you can ask the bills for the same,if they provide no TDS apply , incase they are not provide any bill then TDS will apply subject to thershold limit u/s..194C
