Dear Sir,
I have purchase flat and Builder asked me to pay flat amount with Service Tax @ 3.708% He also inform me that to deduct 1% TDS on the Total amount of Flat plus service tax. Is there really I have to pay TDS on both amounts, please clarify.

no..you now have the option of not deducting TDS on service tax portion.
