Rent paid for the year exceeds Rs.180000 then tds would be deduct @10% on the total rent paid as per the section 194I.

For rent received - service tax to be charged or not ?

If the total rent received from all the tenants to the owner exceeds the basis exemption limit of service tax then liable to service tax collection.
