When Tax is deducted at source from mar 12 salary ,but deposited by employer on 16.4.2012 (beyond 7.4.2012),can employee claim it under tds column n his /her return?.not able to see Form 26AS of assessee yet.

1. Due date for depositing TDS for the month of March is 30th April.
2. After depositing the TDS the employer has to file the TDS return.
Only then the TDS amount will appear in the Form 26AS of the employee.
3. The employee can claim the TDS only if the same is appearing in Form 26AS.

If tax deducted and deposited beyond due date ,7th april or 30 th april ,as the case may be ,and sal credited in march ,then can the deduction not beclaimed or be claimed in next ay

Salary is allowed as deduction even if the TDS on the same is not paid by the due date.
