I HAVE FILED MY INCOME TAX RETURN FOR A.Y. 2007-08. IN THAT RETURN I HAVE SHOWN MY WHOLE INCOME BUT I FORGOT TO MENTION THE TDS DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT. IS THERE ANY KIND OF REMEDY AVAILABLE.

The Income Tax Department reconciles your TDS details through Form 26AS. If TDS was deducted but not claimed, the department might send you a *notice* for tax demand or adjustment.
3. **What should you do?**
* Check your Form 26AS for the respective year and confirm TDS details.
* If a demand notice comes, respond accordingly and show the TDS credit.
* If no demand notice is received, then you don’t need to worry.
4. **Future precaution:**
Always cross-check Form 26AS before filing returns to ensure all TDS credits are captured.
