Is it monedatory that TDS certificate (FORM 16 & 16A) generation for FY 2011-12 through TAN login (NSDL WEBSITE) or we can generate it from any other TDS software as use earlier.

It is mandatory for all types of assessess to download Form 16A from NSDL website.
However, such facility is not for Form 16. Accordingly Form 16 can be issued from the TDS software.

Downloading Form 16 is not mandatory. Problems have also been reported in Form 16 that it does not contain all the information.
