When i am getting the download request from -16A but at that time showing an error is showing
""Download request can not be submitted as statement has not been proceed for select financial year ,qtr & form type ""

Please help me for down-load form-16a

27 July 2025 This error usually happens because the TDS statement for the selected **Financial Year, Quarter, and Form Type** has not yet been processed or approved on the TRACES portal.

Here are a few steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

1. **Verify Statement Filing:**

* Ensure that the TDS return for the relevant **financial year, quarter, and form type (e.g., 26Q)** has been successfully filed and accepted by the Income Tax Department.

2. **Check Statement Status on TRACES:**

* Log in to the TRACES portal.
* Go to **"Statement Status"** and confirm that your statement is **processed and approved**.
* If the status is **Pending or Rejected**, you will not be able to generate/download Form 16A.

3. **Wait for Processing Time:**

* Sometimes, after successful filing, it takes a few days for the statement to be processed on TRACES.
* Wait 2-3 days and try again.

4. **Select Correct Financial Year, Quarter & Form Type:**

* Double-check you have selected the correct **Financial Year**, **Quarter**, and **Form Type (26Q for TDS on payments other than salaries)** before submitting the download request.

5. **Reconciliation & Correction:**

* If there are errors in your TDS return, rectify them and upload a correction return.
* Only after the correction is accepted can you generate Form 16A.

6. **Contact TRACES Support:**

* If you have verified all the above and still face issues, contact the TRACES helpdesk for assistance.
