Dear All,
One of our employee availed Housing Loan for construction from this month and he wants to claim the H R A exemption and also loan repayments in Tax Computation. Can he avail the both the exemptions in this financial year.

He can avail both exemption, provided the construction of home is complete in this Financial year.

Without the completion certificate or possession certificate, whichever applies, an employer should not allow benefits for home loan repayment or home loan interest payments.
