02 December 2015 treatment of tds on salary in accounting

02 December 2015 Dear Suresh,

When you deduct the TDS, debit the salary expense account and credit the TDS Payable liability account.

When you remit the TDS to the government, you can debit the TDS liability account and credit the relevant bank account.
