When i have done pre mature closure of FD my bank has shown negative interest amount.
Can anyone help why such entry has been shown ?

In case of Pre mature closure of FD bank deducts certain penal interest from applicable interest rate. Say for example Interest rate is 9% premature penalty is 2% so actual interest to be received will be 7%.
But maturity amount will always be greater the principal amount. Please check again.
