sir i want to know how to calculate taxable salary?
if tds is applicable when we calculate taxable incom?
pls give me an answer with suitable examples

1. Taxable salary is calculated as total salary less exemptions.
2. Then taxable income is calculated by adding other income and reducing deductions.
3. If the taxable income exceeds the exemption limit (as per slab rate), then TDS is required to be deducted on the same.
