24 August 2016 Income from profession in Canada which was set up in Patna, received there is taxable in India or not pz give complete reference.

24 August 2016 you need to find ut the RESIDENTIAL status of the entity.....please give the details about the same.....stay in india.

26 August 2016 you are using some wrong and MISLEAD words....Ensure what you are saying.....
the profession is in Canada? right?
the income is derived from the profession in Canada?... right
the person who is owning the said profession is Non resident as per Indian Income Tax.... right?

Now tell me this PATNA factor?... what this PATNA is doing in all this??? Please clarify

26 August 2016 the interpretation of such a BEAUTIFUL language of the question is as follows:
A non resident has a profession in Canada. This person has set up in Patna......
the income earned out of "Patna set up" is taxable in india even though the person is non resident.

26 August 2016 but a per ans of ca institute the income is exempt from tax

27 August 2016 that means it is more of a test of english language than income tax......from exam point of view..... by heart such a language and the answer as expected by ICAI
