24 February 2011 Wheather any service provided in relation to construction of school building falls under the scope of taxable service or not? if yes where is this exemption stated..

25 February 2011 Exemption if by the def'n of industrial and commercial construction which exempt not for profit buildings.
if its a private school, then service tax would be applicable, as it is for profit.

25 February 2011 thanks a lot for your reply..sir, tel me one more thing my company has entered into contract batching and mixing of RMC concrete for which material will be provided by client we have already registration of Industrial or Commercial construction do we need a another registration of this kind of service and if yes under which category we will fall and does we have exemption of providing service which will be used in constructing non profit school building...?
