01 August 2013 One of my client has sold units of SBI MAGNUM TAXGAIN SCHEME 1993-REGULAR PLAN(MUTUAL FUND)which was claimed earlier u/s 80c ON 26-7-2012 it was purchased between 2006-2009...and he got a loss of Rs.100181.69...what would be the treatment...and also if he got a profit then what will be the treatment ????
pls reply...its urgent

01 August 2013 whether it was equity oriented and debt oriented.

when it was sold.
wat was the cost.

01 August 2013 its equity oriented....and it was sold on 26/07/2012....the cost is 118928.83(without indexation)

01 August 2013 then such loss cannot be set off if it was just an investing activity and also it was long term in nature.
