Respected all,
Pl find below the sequence of events happened : -
1. Demand notice of Rs. 1500 was issued by Centralized Processing Centre, Bangalore for AY 2009-10 on 30/09/2009.
2. Against this, online rectification was made and thereafter the revised order was passed from CPC, Bangalore, reducing the demand to Rs. 50/- only dt. 30/06/2011.
3. The said demand was paid by challan on 05/07/2011.
4. In case of Refund for AY 2010-11, the department i.e. CPC, Bangalore adjusted the whole demand of Rs.1500/- without considering the later order passed by it dt. 30/6/2011
Now, guide me, how to rectify this mistake and to get the amount of refund. Should I go for online rectification? If yes, what is the procedure to rectify the same?

File an online rectification application.
In 'rectification request type' select CPC processing.
In 'reason for seekiing rectification' mention the fact that the earlier demand notice was rectified vide so and so order and the demand was paid vide so and so challan number on so and so date.
