Tax deposited on wrong challan form

Sir by mistake i had deposited tax on central tax challan form as the tax was to be deposited on local tax challan form.
how can that be rectified .
Is it possible to get it rectified from the bank from where the tax was deposited or is there some other process,
kindly guide me

I do not know from which state you are asking.
Normally bank will not allow to change
the same if cheque is already passed.
However Certain state has provision which
allow inter tax adjustment , you may go through same and claim adjustment while
filing return.
