08 January 2014 Sir we are going to surrender our TAN number. In this respect we have approached to TDS department. They suggest us to file a simple application for surrendering of said TAN number. But they have also demanded to file a Affidavit also.

Now I am requesting, can you provide me a specimen of such Affidavit.

08 January 2014 For surrender of TAN, you need to apply online. Below is the link. Please read (h) point. By making a simple application and giving a affidavit will not cancel your TAN Number from the records
